From a095e46895cd0120ab767986c6b533a111ee7584 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: bakkeby Date: Wed, 20 May 2020 15:00:46 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] Revert "support REP (repeat) escape sequence" This reverts commit e8392b282c2eaa28725241a9612804fb55113da4. There is currently a bug in older ncurses versions (like on OpenBSD) where a fix for a bug with REP is not backported yet. Most likely in tty/tty_update.c: Noticed while using lynx (which uses ncurses/curses). To reproduce using lynx: echo "Z0000000" | lynx -stdin or using the program: int main(void) { WINDOW *win; win = initscr(); printw("Z0000000"); refresh(); sleep(5); return 0; } This prints "ZZZZZZZ" (incorrectly). --- README.md | 4 ++-- st.c | 10 ---------- st.info | 1 - 3 files changed, 2 insertions(+), 13 deletions(-) diff --git a/README.md b/README.md index db70251..985f19b 100644 --- a/README.md +++ b/README.md @@ -1,4 +1,4 @@ -Similar to [dwm-flexipatch](https://github.com/bakkeby/dwm-flexipatch) this st 0.8.3 (113da4, 2020-05-16) project has a different take on st patching.
